Michele Miller, of Port Albert, ON, is this year's Alice Munro Festival feature artist. Michele earned her Fine Art's degree from the University of Guelph and currently resides in Huron County. She is an accomplished oil and watercolour artist that has been showing her paintings across southern Ontario for over 10 years. Light and mood are pivotal elements in her art. Looking to her surroundings for inspiration, she is frequently responding to the most ordinary of subject matter. Her body of work consists of a diverse range of subjects including landscapes, still life, portraits as well as buildings and animals. Having won several awards, her most recent accomplishments include a solo exhibit last summer at the Blyth Festival Gallery and a second place at this year's Paint Ontario annual juried art show. Michele has been teaching art classes for several years in Oakville, Guelph and most recently in Huron County.
